Life can be very tough. People everywhere face different degree of life’s difficult situations. Ask the young man who has a job but who is not well paid, how life is. He will tell you it has been very tough.

Another person close by would probably wonder why the young man is saying life is tough when he, a married man with a family, earn less. It can sound funny to a man who has a dollar left in his pocket, to hear another complaining that he only has a thousand dollars left in his bank account and that things have been tough!

There are people who cannot remember when last they lived a pain free life. There are others who find themselves in negative circumstances created by others. Take the example of civil wars in countries like Sudan , Ethiopia and Syria .  They live in fear every day, not knowing what the next day has in store for them

I believe life stopped being fair when man fell at the garden of Eden. (Gen 3:17) However, the good news is, we can overcome life’s tough situations.

I love the way the Amplified Bible version of John 16:33, I have told you these things, so that in Me you may have [perfect] peace and confidence. In the world you have tribulation and trials and distress and frustration; but be of good cheer [take courage; be confident, certain, undaunted]! For I have overcome the world. [I have deprived it of power to harm you and have conquered it for you.]

That is the secret! Overcoming life’s tough situations lies in trusting in the One who has overcome the world. The systems of the world run contrary to the will of God and you can be sure that you will face difficulties and tough circumstances at different stages of your life.

Armed with the knowledge that Christ has overcome the world (circumstances, situations, difficulties) you can walk head high, knowing that your victory is certain. The life span of those difficult situations is usually short. When you refuse to give up or give in, those troubles, trials and difficulties will begin to fade. As you stick to your trust and hope in God through Jesus Christ, your thought pattern begins to change, you no longer see the problems as insurmountable, rather you see them as steps to a greater triumph!

Life may not have been fair to you, but let me tell you a fact;  You were made to overcome!
